Inversion & Mapping of Cool Stars

iMap is a versatile tool for modeling stellar magnetic fields, polarized radiative transfer calculations and the inversion of spectropolarimetric data. This web-service provides an easy-to-use interface to the iMap code. Without the overhead of compiling various source codes and libraries as well as building platform dependent executables the iMap web-application gives you direct access to most of the basic functionalities of the inversion code.

How to use the iMap web application : Simply login or register and then specify the properties of your stellar target. Choose the analysis and upload your spectra. The resulting surface temperature and/or magnetic field maps as well as the spectral line fits will be sent back to you by Email or can be downloaded via FTP.
